Shift happens!!

One week after I bought my new MacBook Air a new version was released by Apple with (there it comes) a bigger hard disk, faster processor and several other new features. Guess it is something we have to get used to. The speed of technology is increasing exponentially.

It took 38 years before radio reached a market audience of 50 million people. It took 13 years for the television to reach the same audience. The Internet had 50 million users in 4 years. Apple sold 50 million iPod's in 3 year. Facebook had 50 million users in 2 years. The prognoses are that the new iPhone 5, to be released in september, will hit the 50 million in three months!!

The world around us is changing rapidly and there is not much we can do about it. I would advice to enjoy it and do with it whatever you want to.

If you are an early adopter (please add me on Facebook) you might have to save a little bit harder to keep up with the latest gadgets. If you are just a user of technology and don't want to keep up with it, you might just have to hide your phone if you don't want people to laugh at you ;-)

The good news is that technology is becoming more and more user-friendly so we don't have to be geeks anymore to use the newest technologies. One of the reasons I started using Apple products is because of this. Give a little kid your iPhone and they are playing a game within a minute. That is how technology should be!

Next week I will discuss some nice gadgets. We ordered some cool toys directly from China. Watching our mailbox like a hawk but I guess those Chinese airplanes don't fly that fast.
